The country owes $40 trillion. The interest on this is over $1 trillion per year. That’s money that builds nothing and helps no one.

The solution is already in the Constitution.

Congress has never had a financial limit it was required to keep. An amendment can set that limit. It caps the debt as a share of the economy.

Washington does not ratify amendments. Thirty-eight states do. This is the whole game, and it runs through legislators who answer to a few hundred thousand people each.

We are building a number legislators cannot argue with.

When our campaign goes live on Constitution Day, September 17th, everyone who signs the pledge is matched to their own district, and every legislator gets their number: how many of their constituents want this. A count with their name on it.

The Constitution has been changed twenty-seven times. Once to end slavery. Once to ban alcohol, and once to admit that was a mistake. It gets edited by people who decide something is a condition, not a preference.
